A scarf for Jeremy
Jeremy asked me to pick him out a scarf to go along with his new jacket:

Now, I personally think he should try to balance out his dark hair with his light coat by a vibrant and rich color. In the picture of the jacket you see the model has the jacket open, and the dark sweater balances well with his hair (or what you can see of it). I’d like to do the same, but with a punch of color.
Scarf Options:

Hugo Boss (the nicest of the bunch - Holt Renfrew)

Navy Plain Cashmere Scarf ($35)
Because the jacket is tan, this navy scarf goes really well because of its creamy tones. It’s a very subdued blue. Although he could go either way - subdued or bright - this was the only shade of blue I could find online that felt right. This one would be the perfect one if it were in a more formal material.

Eddie Bauer (Merino, $19.99)

Banana ($29.99) - a little dark, would wear this as the primary business one
Since I know Jeremy is in Canada, I’d strongly suggest going to Mexx and Club Monaco. Both of their websites bite or I’d recommend something there, but truly they choose nice soft materials, which always look more sleek. What we want to find for you is a high-end scarf - nothing too chunky or visibly woven. For this jacket, sleek and soft is the answer.
While I’m at it, I’d like to see Jeremy get some more volume in his hair. Use products for volume and texture, not gels that you can see. Invisible volume would be the key. I like this hairstyle, or something similar, for Jeremy:
Yeah, it’s Patrick Dempsey.

Definitely the Hugo Boss — it’s terrific.
For casual, though, I’d prefer something with a little bit more color and vibrancy.
For business, at least here in the states, I’d err on the side of something a little more conservative. A solid-colored good quality cashmere, or maybe even a Burberry plaid. Nothing more jazzy than that.

Good tips. I spent a couple of hours actually roaming the web for the scarf I wanted to find for Jeremy. Totally ticked me off. I wanted that bright bright blue.
For business, I have a couple I’m going to post tomorrow that I think are great. I didn’t think they’d fit well with the color of Jeremy’s jacket, but in general they are quite nice.
Thanks!
