American Eagle Jeans
Our last and (to me) most exciting stop was American Eagle. Exciting why? Because for years I have know exactly what stores to shop in to buy Ianiv perfectly fitted shirts, but pants never. He’s always a different size in each store and I can never keep him in a store long enough to get a feel for his sizing. That, and he kept changing sizes.
Well that all ends. I had him in at least 50% of the pants at American Eagle, jeans and otherwise, and we have his size down pat. I chose to take him to AE because they are not just trendy, but cater to a younger male audience, so they have the smaller sizes in stock that Ianiv needs. Believe it or not, he’s down to a 28×30, and those are hard to find!
So, Ianiv is now fitted with two new pairs of jeans, the AE Low Rise Boot Jean ($39.50) and the AE Bootcut Jean ($39.50).
Both jeans have a frayed lower edge, which is in style though not to be overdone, and are slimfit through the leg with the bootcut for the best looking fit straight down the pant. The low risers have a sandblasted look with the pre-worn wash and a more loose leg. Comfortable. The regular bootcut are darker with a more distressed look. Each jean in the pile was slightly different, we ended up with a less distressed jean but still vintage feeling.
You can’t beat these prices for what you’re getting. Now, I’ll be able to buy Ianiv pants from AE, which is great for most of his casual needs. Still have yet to find a store where his size is as consistent for dressier pants. Next time ;)
