Can light jeans look good?

by Arieanna on June 22nd, 2006

I’ll admit I have a bias towards dark colored jeans. Not black, I hate those, but a really rich blue. And I do like distressing.

So, it’s not often you’ll find me recommending a lighter blue when it comes to jeans. But I’ll admit this is the exception. These are called True Religion Big Bobby T Jeans and you can buy them at Nordstrom for a pricey $240.

As you all know, I like to recommend clothes for certain reasons - and strongly recommend finding something right for your body and budget that works within those reasons. If you pay more than $100 for your jeans, you need a better reason than I can give you.

I like these jeans because they have a gradient color. Although all light, the top is lighter than the bottom. This gives it that ‘worn in’ look that is so hot right now, but without being dark and heavy. Not a look you want when it’s summer time and you just want to throw on jeans and a tank and some nice leather sandals.

Also good because these are a bit loose but still structured in shape. Tight jeans might get a bit hot in the summer, so you’ll feel more comfortable here. The butt is still visible in shape - a must when you fit your jeans - but it looks relaxed.

I would personally like it if the brand tag were not so gigantically in-your-face, but otherwise they are nice jeans.
