This looks like a jacket you’d see on some slightly scruffy, but very stylish guy roaming the streets of New York.

No idea why that cliche popped into my head, but I like it. Kind of like your upscale artsy guy. You know?

Jacket is called the Cooper Kiln from Abercrombie & Fitch - comes in this heather grey or black.

Mostly wool, but with a softer cotton lining. Great flap pockets and an antiqued metal zipper. Great fit. Good classic without being stuffy.

Not bad, at $178 - great for a wool classic!
