Holiday Fashion Don’ts
Here are some great tips to avoid Holiday Fashion Blunders from Budget Fashionista:
- wear bells on any clothing, shoes, etc.
- use the holiday season as the opportunity to dress in red from head to toe.
- wear a sweater that has any of the following applique: santas, christmas trees, snowflakes, snowmen, elves, etc
- make a santa hat an integral part of your December wardrobe.
- sport a turtleneck top with prints of little christmas trees, leaves, elves, etc.
- overdose on corduroy pants (please, for all that is good and right in this world, resist the urge to wear the printed turtleneck WITH the corduroy pants)
I would also add:
- wear tacky Christmas ties or scarves for all of December
- wear the same sweater all winter
- wear rubber boots or oversized snow boots unless necessary
- wear down jackets or outdoor rain jackets to a formal function (invest in wool or a trench instead)
- wear athletic socks to the office (being cold is no excuse!)
If you have other tips, feel free to add them.
