Hubby’s AFFLICTION Of Pain

by Dexie on October 5th, 2007

affliction_jacket.jpgSo my husband saw this Affliction Shredded Jacket on a magazine and liked it, I did too. He asked me to check out the price from it’s website. When I told him it’s $700, an affliction of pain(haha, pardon the pun) rushed through him. Well that’s over-exaggeration but you know..LOL. Why is it $700?

  • Vintage fit
  • 100% Leather
  • Hand Numbered
  • Limited Edition
  • Deconstructed By Hand
  • Custom Skull Button
  • Custom Skull Pulls
  • Custom Web Patches

If it’s half the price maybe I’ll think about getting it for him for Christmas. But it’s highly unlikely that the price will go down. You could just tell from the picture that it’s really good quality. And a very well designed leather jacket to boot. Hey, if you can afford it, head on over to AFFLICTION. :)

Great jacket, but for $700, a removable liner would be nice, especially for riding the hog in winter.
I would buy it right now for half the price.

wondering what else is out there in a
    similar unique jacket.

[…] want this pair of Affliction Cross Boots for my husband. Hmm, actually, he wants it too. Unlike the Affliction Leather Jacket that has a price tag of $700 caused him much pain, this cross boots might be feasible. It’s only $195. I mean, that could be a price for a nice […]

Do not order anything from the Solis company. I ordered the Affliction leather jacket on DEC. 6. It is now Dec. 20 and they never sent it. I have let apx. 20 voice mails with them over the past week (can never get a live person), sent emails and now one has bothered to contact me. Really messed up my Christmas for my husband.

I like the look of this jacket, but I couldn’t imagine paying that much for it. I like Affliction clothing and my fiance likes the women’s Sinful line, but I paid $700 for my Vanson riding jacket and it will last well past my lifetime and probably into my kids. Can Affliction say that???

I purchased this coat from the buckle via a couple of gift cards for Christmas and some $10 dollar off cards, But still paid $640.00 for it. The quality of the jacket is great and is a instant eye catcher. definitly worth the price *ahem, Please remember that this is a limitied edition work of art (originally only 2000 made than extended to 2800 due to high demand). If not into Art then one would not recommend this jacket. The difference is night and day between this jacket and a so called good riding jacket. As far as a Vanson riding jacket that most definitly a great jacket, That can be worn yearly and most likely passed down. As far as this Collectors item goes its not in the same category at all. Overall this is a great jacket for Affliction fans and art lovers of all kinds.

kd, I did get this for 1/2 price. Problem is that it was a one time only code given to my wife from a web site that kept messing up her order. I have to say that I have loved the jacket. I also do not believe that there were only 2000 made. Mine is one of 2000 but I saw another in a Nordstroms in VA that said #### of 2500.

Sorry it took so long to respond.

I bought #2007 from Buckle. To the previous post. There were 2500 made. Originally there were only to be 2000 made. But due to high demand (primarily hollywood actors) they up’d it another 500. So if you own one!! HOLD ONTO IT!! It’s quite an investment!!

If someone knows where I can get one of these jackets - size large - I am MORE than willing to pay. It’s a bada$$ jacket and I gotta have it and I can’t find one ANYWHERE. If anyone knows someone that wants to sell theirs - I’m interested.

I own a clothing store in Penna. I am reserving 2008 jackets for my store.
I saw the above at the NY showroom. Size M left only.

I bought the jacket when it first came out and must say that it is very expensive, but it was worth every penny. Everyone stares and some have even tried to buy off my back right there. I never regret spending the money for it.

I don’t know. there’s something about this jacket (and the three new leather jackets that Affliction just came out with) that says wannabe poser. Most bikers I know (with real club patches) would laugh at the Affliction patches. The fact that this is one of these exclusive runs sought after by Hollywood actor types (the ultimate bad boy posers) is not a plus, but a negative. In my opinion, Schott and Vanson are better, more real, cooler. In fact, Schott makes what I think is the coolest leather jacket ever - the black double breasted military style jacket.
