Introducing Andy Warhol Silver Factory Fragrance

Mark your calendars. On December 1st 2007, Bond No. 9, the edgy perfumer who’s been known not only to create scents and fragrances but also artistic bottle designs to match will be launching Andy Warhol perfume. Aptly called Silver Factory. Simply known as The Factory, it’s one of the famous NYC digs of Andy Warhol. It was the place where Andy emerged as an avant garde filmmaker, pop art progenitor, and all-around superstar. Andy once said, “Another way to take up more space is with perfume. I really love wearing perfume.”. So it’s just apropos that a perfume will be created in his name. Thanks to Bond. No. 9 and the Andy Warhol Foundation collaboration.

For an ambiguous male-female conception, Andy Warhol Silver Factory will be emanating key scents in the 60’s. Namely, smoky, smooth and spicy blend of incense. With the infusion of wood resin, and syrupy, seductive amber. For a little bit of contrast, it’ll also feature jasmine, iris, and Warhol’s favorite, violet. For a touch of coolness, a handful of cedarwood is thrown in the mix.

Launch Date: December 2007

Suggested Retail Price: $230, for 3.4oz

Available only in a 100 ml flacon, Andy Warhol Silver Factory will be sold at Bond No.9’s four New York boutiques, at www.bondno9.com, at Saks Fifth Avenue nationwide and at www.saks.com

This major exhibition marks the work of Andy Warhol and those involved in his expansive studio, the Factory. It presents the Factory as a centre of experimental art production and will bring some of the most important work emerging from the studio during that time to Ireland including film, painting, photography, sculpture, music and books.
