Last Day For A Chance To Win Over $200 Prizes
Today is your last day to enter our Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow contest. Well, you’ll have until tomorrow morning. I’ll announce the winner Monday afternoon to give you guys(wives/gf) more time :) . I thought about extending it for another week but it wouldn’t be fair to the people who’ve already participated. So Monday morning it is.
If this is your first time visiting, we have over $200 worth of prizes up for grabs for our groomed and stylish Men in the US. Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow asks a few questions about hair removal and you have to share with us your experiences. Either painful, pleasant, or funny, as long as you are honest and you remember to post your comments on the entry.
What [strangest] part of your (or your hubby’s/bf’s) body have you shave/removed hair from?
How was it beneficial to you? What are the pros and cons of shaving/removing hair from your (or your hubby’s/bf’s) body?
If you haven’t ventured onto shaving/hair removal and is just contemplating, which part of your body and why?
Here are the 6 entries so far :
MAC : I have tweezed back hair off of my boyfriend’s back that comes up randomly on his shoulder blade. He think it began coming because of a bad scrape he got there once. As I got more comfortable and more obsessive about it not being there, (because he doens’t like it there), I use my fingers to pull it out. It seems to be loose roots because it doesn’t hurt him. I like taking it off of his body because it’s such a vulnerable position to have someone taking something away from you, it makes me feel like he is trusting me, and that I am doing something that makes him more confident.
OLGA LAWRENCE : My husband has several pointy, nasty hairs sprouting from the topside of his handsome Roman nose; they appear harmless at first glance, but they are indeed vile and serve no other purpose than to scratch and irritate my cheeks when we kiss.
I have convinced him (through daily threats and harassment) to let me tweeze those cactus-thorns on a weekly basis; it’s become a ritual and he now comes to me and asks me to do it for him!
TIFFANY : Yes, my hubs also has one random black hair that comes out of the top of his nose! It is best for me to remove it because if he tries to remove it himself he just goes cross-eyed. I don’t mind doing it, because hey, I love the guy!
TRUDI : My bf is so hairy that he often asks me to pluck the hairs off his face and upper back- with my hands. I guess he just doesn’t like using a tweezer. What’s even worse is that he says it doesn’t even hurt: That’s how hairy he is!
KERRI (MarriageActually) : Okay, so the truth finally comes out. Bald Man isn’t actually bald at all, I just get a kick out of shaving his head while he sleeps, and he hasn’t figured out how to stop me, yet. :P Okay, okay, he really is bald. I think I offered to shave his leg when we were in college. He was playing soccer and needed to have his ankle wrapped and I told him I’d help. I think mid-calf down was shaved by the time I got to him. I don’t think he trusted me with a razor near his skin, yet, at that point. I do shave his neck, now, after he cuts what hair is left.
Newly Added Entries : FYI, you can add your comment on this post or on the original post.
RAMJAW : Let’s face it, random back hairs are embarrassing–especially in the summer when taking your shirt off on the beach. I only have a few stragglies here and there on my back and before going to the beach one day, I asked my girlfriend to pluck them for me. I was kind of expecting a “no” because its a strange request. To my surprise she responded positively. I laid down on the bed with my shirt off and she got out her trusty tweezers. It was at this point that I realized what it must be like for a female taking care of her eyebrows all the time. While most of the hairs were harmless, a few of the stubborn hairs hurt. The entire experience is humbling and after my third yelp from the pain, I asked her to take a break. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her quite as excited to finish what she was doing. She had a somewhat devilish look in her eyes seeing me in such a vulnerable position seeing me whining about the “pain” I was going through. I could tell she was amused by my !
sudden wimpiness and appeared excited to finish.
She now offers on occasion to take care of my hair for me. It does require a lot of trust but considering the benefit for both of us, I guess it makes us closer.
Now if you think you have a better funny story regarding hair removal, what are you waiting for? Don’t let your pride get in the way of your chance in winning over $200 worth of grooming/2 shirts prizes ;) .
Good Luck!!

My husband has always kept his hair bald or nearly bald since I met him … well, until …
In about Nov 2005, he decided he wasn’t going to cut his hair until the Spurs won the NBA championship. So for 19 months, he didn’t get a hair cut. And he’s very hairy.
It grew into a gigantic afro that sort of resembled a clown’s hair. It was so big that he couldn’t go out in public without wearing a hat. But pretty soon, even a Cat In The Hat hat couldn’t cover it.
At one point in May 2007, he decided he wasn’t going to cut his facial hair either … and he’s the kind of guy with a 5 o’clock shadow at 11am. So as you can imagine, it was beastly.
Well thankfully, the Spurs won the NBA Championship in June 2007. So, I took him out on our back deck, manned with a pair of scissors and trimmer, and cut all of that hair off, trimmed his hair down to the scalp and then shaved his head bald with a razor.
It was liberating!
And now, we can go back in public again! :)
