Nair For Men Speed Cream, NAY For Men
After trying on Nads For Men my husband thought he’d see what else is out there and maybe find something faster and better. He found Nair’s Speed Cream. Well, it didn’t turn out as well as he was expecting. Per the instruction on the bottle, you’re supposed to “smooth on a thick, and even layer to cover hair“. Leave it there for 3 minutes but depending on hair thickness, leave it longer not exceeding the 10 minutes time frame. Then wipe it off with a damp washcloth. Do Not Rub. Finish rinsing with lukewarm water in the shower. Sounds all too easy but don’t be fooled by it. Not only did it not remove the hair completely, it left my husband’s chest area red and sensitive. It left a really bad chemical burn. To quote my husband, “Nipples on Fire“. 2 bad reviews are written at drugstore.com as well. So Nair For Men: Speed Cream is NAY for Men.

Ha ha ha - Nipples on fire - ha ha ha - sorry Scott - ha ha ha. Thanks for the heads up. They really haven’t perfected depilatory creams yet, and I don’t really think they will. Yuck.

this is a post i found on menshealth.com’s forum:
-beginning of quote-:
I used Nair For Men Roll On and got some serious burns or something. I have no idea why really. I have used it before on my genitals and all went well, but this time things went awry. I think that I may have had it on a little too long, but I’m not sure. The hair didn’t come all the way off, and I got some red patches on my scrotum. I just treated it best as I could, and tried not to touch the affected area because it hurt like I don’t know what…. Just really bad! ON Friday, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to wear underwear, but I had to go somewhere, so I went ahead and put underwear on. Later that day I pulled my underwear off and too my surprise the underwear had stuck to my sore affected areas. I was like what the…?? So I had to like peel them off. This is really detailed, but my on my underwear, I could see where the sore spots had been sticking. It like made wet or temporarily stained spots. It hurt so bad too. The bottle says to call a physician if one runs into problems, but I don’t really want to do that if at all possible. Just because physicians around here hate looking at genitals, and I want to save them the trouble. I have had this now for like 2-3 days and it’s getting a little less painful. The redness is still there though. I have just been putting neosporin stuff on it. Should I just swallow my pride and modesty and go to the doctor? If I made an appointment, it would most likely be a few days before I could be seen, so should I just wait it out, or go to the ER or what????? -end of quote

Funny, I just came back from the drugstore where I saw Nair For Men 3 Min Speed Cream for the first time. I almost got it but instead got two containers of what I’ve discovered to be safe: Nair For Men Body Cream. After some nth degree burns like those described above I learned that Nair Roll On is lethal for any area other than the sole of my foot. I use the cream all over and leave it on for about 15 minutes. It does a good job everywhere except the particularly tough hairs on my inner thigh (up next to my scrotum). It’s been safe on my scrotum, peri-anal area and penis. Again, not 100% effective on my thigh’s - I have to use it every other day there. Also, I’ve found that rinsing the stuff off using the “massage” function on my shower head and NOT rubbing with any kind of abrasive cloth eliminates redness and/or rash (I use my finger tips in place of a wash rag).
I ran into this site using Google and I’m really glad I read all the postings re Nair 3 Min Speed Cream. You’ve saved me money (it’s more expensive than the Body Cream) and probably a nasty rash or burn. Rob

I know it’s “manly” to not read instructions but Nair is a chemical formula strong enough to dissolve hair. It must be used according to the instructions. Test a patch of skin in each area it is to be used. Do not use it on the nipples (does your hubby actually have hairy nipples? Even chimps don’t have hair on their nipples.) or the genitals.
A THICK layer must be used for good results.
This said, I have had good results with Nair. I use it everywhere. My chest, legs, entire genital and anal areas. I have only been burned once. My nipples suffered burns but I believe it was because I used Nair 2 days in a row. I didn’t get a thick enough layer on the first day and tried to fix it the next day.
I have tried the regular cream and a foam (maybe the “speed cream”) versions.
Everyones skin is different. You won’t know how you react until you try it.
Finally, my girlfriend loves my smooth, hairless body.

I’m the same guy who posted 19 Aug 2007. (Had forgot about it until they sent me a notice re a new message posted here.)
Anyway, I forgot to post a suggestion last time - particularly aimed at the guy who got so burned/irritated that he thought about not wearing underwear. I discovered when you apply Nair on your balls and/or butt it really helps to buy some Gold Bond talc powder (medicated) and sprinkle it over your bed sheet (about an right-inch round) and after you shower off the Nair pat yourself dry and and then go and sit directly on the round of powder you sprinkled on the bed. Spread your glutes as you sit down making sure the underside of your scrotum gets covered with the talc powder as well as your butt. Depending on what kind of underwear you wear - I’m strictly a boxer guy - you shouldn’t have any irritation from what you wear because the talc powder really relieves the burn and the relief lasts all day. Apparently keeping the area where the hair was removed ultra dry is the key to taking care of burns and/or irritation.

There’s a typo above: “an right-inch round” should read “an eight (8)-inch round”…rob

I used the regular womens nair for my arms and chest, and it works really well. I get a little irritated in a few spots, but a little body lotion helps that. I have a tool that looks like a razor, but it is just plastic instead of a blade, and I use that to gently scrape the nair and hair off my body in the shower. It takes a little getting used to. When I started doing it, I would get a little more burned by it then I do now.

Öhm I think you need to read the instructions :D, cause it clearly says “do not use on nipples, perianal or genital areas” on the bottle .. no wonder why his nipples burned xD

my balls got massacred by Nair for men. I no longer have my first three layers of skin. The burn hurt so bad I had to ice immediately to relieve the pain. I covered my shaft as well out of pure stupidity and that area got merked too. Smooth balls are not worth the pain I just went through. It looks like I jerked it with sand paper. No joke. Although, my roommate applied the same product and was fine. His nuts are gloriously smooth.

I thought about using it on my private areas, but from my research, nair 4 men’s online instructions actually say dont put it on nipples or private areas…. they have like I think 4 diff types for your body parts… the speed cream was supose to be for the legs…. I wanted to remove private hair but from the counds of the results/warning, i’ll pass………… I might try the gentle cream one

I used it, but I got liquored up first and it didn’t hurt. So I got up the next morning and reapplied to get the remaining hair. It burned pretty bad after I got out of the shower, but ten minutes later I was alright. My balls did shrink up afterward, and I am a little red around the pubic area, but my balls did not fall off so that’s a plus. I’m not gonna use it again, and hopefully I’m not covered in blisters tomorrow, but I give it about a 6 out of 10.

First off: 19 year old male 6′2″ 200lbs gay…..very hairy
I just used Nair for men (the 8~10 no more than 15 min kind). I had used it on my chest (first off i regret doing that) some time ago and did not like it. It left red marks and didn’t work, thus I had to apply it a second time; probably why I got the red marks. This time however it worked wonderfully. I applied it on my butt and lower back and it took off all the hair on the first wipe of a face cloth. I even applied it rather close to my anus and it did not burn. It did turn red for about 5 mins after removal but that went away. I did not apply to my balls so no input there but I don’t think its a good idea……..My butt is all nice and smooth (at least compared to before)

Hey guys, I am in terrible pain right now. I used the nair cream not less than 2 hours ago and I can barely type this in. Like an idiot I applied around the ballsack and got some on my nipples. On the inside of my legs on eigher side of my bag theres horrible burns. I’m using powder right now but I’m worried about infection. Serve’s me right for not reading the instructions but what the hell can I do? I’m trying to keep the area dry but everything is sticking to it. My nipples are falling off and I’m walking like I just got analed. Help!!
