Outfit basics: summer casual
Old Navy has started to suggest outfits on their shopping pages. Quite useful for the purposes of demonstration here. I am going to go through this suggested outfit:

They have put together the following: white tshirt, white pintucked shirt, brown cargo shorts, leather sandals.
What I like: it’s a neutral basic. The shorts are casual brought to life with the pairing of a collared shirt. It also highlights the basic layering technique I love. Leather flip flops are way nicer than any other type.
What I don’t like: It’s a bit too normal. Too blah. Conservative. I also know that Old Navy short sleeved collared shirts such as this one are enormous. Ianiv has a couple “small” ones that he gets lost inside, they are so large. So, be careful of fit.
Make it better: I would change the shorts for an evergreen color and replace the white tshirt with a graphic tee, maybe a brown one, under it.
When to wear it: out during the summer, but never ever to work. I also wouldn’t suggest it as a dinner outfit - change your pants and shoes if you are planning on going from day to evening.
