As far as I’m concerned, Patrick Dempsey can pretty much wear a potato sack and would still look good. Here’s Mr. Versace Man wearing a plaid print shirt, with black tie, jeans and black boots at MTV’s TRL. I thought that was brave of him. Most Men I’ve seen with a plaid shirt and tie usually wear a blazer over it. Patrick didn’t but it worked just fine.

I’ve been seeing this “two-inches above the belt” look with younger guys recently. Is this done on purpose, like it’s a new trend or something? I know the GQ Style Guide still holds to the traditional “tie ends in the middle of the belt buckle” look. Is looks bad to me if it’s too short like that.
