I’ve been through a love-hate relationship with Ralph Lauren jeans. For a long time I adored them, then they seemed to drag when it came to staying on top of new jeans styles. Now, I think they’re back in the swing of things.

Here are two pairs I like. One are stylish in a more durable sense and the other fall into this year’s fad. I’m sure you can tell the one from the other:

Left: Straight Leg Jean - somewhat relaxed, lightly washed but not too light, medium-low rise (trendy but more attractive on realistic body sizes), their classic but with the trendy tearing we see so much (in moderation)

Right: Straight Leg Raleigh Jean - relaxed, medium low-rise again, metal rivets, some wearing, dark indigo denim. Dark for a more upscale look - but wash carefully!
