Sandals with Socks

Ok, this is one of my major pet peeves. Sandals with Socks. Absolute no-no.

Socks are meant for shoes only. Aren’t sandals shoes? Well, yes, but let’s throw them into a new category of footwear, as they are really. They are open, not like runners or business shoes or any other type of shoe. Most of them are even made so that your foot feels quite comfortable without the sock protection. So, ditch the socks, please. It looks oh so bad.

I will admit there is one exception to the rule. It is ok to wear sandals with socks when camping, as it does become a necessity when it’s cold and you are going in and out of a tent. Let’s face it, you usually look like a slob when camping anyway, so it’s not a big deal. :)

    OMG–totally. Socks and sandals are a HUGE no-no. NOT COOL; dorky, in fact. Socks are for absorbing sweat inside a shoe. Sandals let your feet breathe instead of sweat. No use for socks! Someone please do an intervention with Jeremy–for his own sake and the well-being of others who must be within sight of him.

    You know, I have had it with people dissing the practice of people wearing socks with sandals. I am an executive with a major software company and I have been viewed as an outcast by my peers.

    So what if I look like a German tourist at Niagara Falls. I am comfortable and that is all that matters.

    Before you judge me, I challenge you to look inside yourself. All of us have skeletons in our closet, and we all have wierd fetishes that leave us exposed to the seedy underbelly of society.
