Valentine’s Day: what do you want to know?
Ok, rather than me passing our random Valentine’s Day tips or suggestions, perhaps you’d like to offer some feedback so I can really answer your questions.
Here are things I was thinking of…
- What’s appropriate for a “new” date
- What should you do for a long time girlfriend/wife
- Gift or no gift
- Gift ideas
- What is expected of you
Not sure what you want so I haven’t really started tackling any of them yet.
Maybe you have past stories you can share so I can offer feedback for others, or have concerns for the February 14th fast approaching.
Comment or email me and I’ll help you out!

Is there a time when no gift is appropriate?
You’d want to be sure that you were able to tell the difference between “no don’t buy me anything for Valentine’s Day” and when she really doesn’t want anything, because we all know that saying the former does not necessarily mean the latter.
I have been running a couple of ideas on my blog, mostly with a focus on the little things that can make a great gift without adding too much to the expense. Of course that is only so that the expense can go to the really BIG gift, not so you can be a tight-arse!
I think it would be great to hear from somebody who has only just recently started a relationship, that’s when it gets tricky because you need the present to be good but without scaring off the girl by giving the impression you’re planning your old age together after the third date.
